After years of loyal service, it was time to retire my old mascot character and replace her with a new and improved design. Whilst I liked her overall look, in practice I found the proportions and details too rigid to work with in a dynamic way.

I created a new mascot character yesterday for ArtJunky.net – the online magazine I helped set up in November 2012. I love how character illustrations can add a unique edge to a brand, so creating one for Art Junky seemed an obvious choice.
Berlin’s Pictoplasma Project are currently investigating the Yeti, through their recently launched, Missing Link Project. They have asked artists to share their Yeti designs with them, in a hope they can gain a better understanding of one of our time’s last secret characters.
