I’m having a lot of fun doodling these little Specimen characters on my iPad. I’m going to keep going until I’ve created a whole army of them!
I’m taking part in this fun collab exhibition organised by artist Pauli Bates, in which his talented little girl has coloured in line work contributed by a load of different artists and illustrators.
The show opens tonight at KND London and will run until the 10th Feb 2018. I can’t wait to see the results!
I’ve been working with We Heart Arts on a new music themed T-Shirt and Sticker design, to raise funds for their non-profit which helps young people’s creative arts programs across the world.
I’m a big fan of ScrawlrBox’s subscription art supply boxes, so it was an absolute honour to be featured as their Artist of the Month for April. We worked together to pack April’s box full of all my favourite pens and pencils, along with an exclusive print made from one of my drawings.
Over the past few months I’ve been spending some of my spare time creating colourful quirky characters with my iPad and Procreate App. I’m having a lot of fun with this series and plan to keep going until I’ve built a whole army of these little specimens!
After years of loyal service, it was time to retire my old mascot character and replace her with a new and improved design. Whilst I liked her overall look, in practice I found the proportions and details too rigid to work with in a dynamic way.

I’m a big believer in the best pens being whatever you have to hand, as when you have an idea any pen will do! I’ve seen some amazing pieces created with some of the cheapest biros, so not having “the right pens” shouldn’t be an excuse (unless you’re attempting to paint a mural with nothing but an old potato).
I’ve been neglecting my sketchbooks a bit lately as my iPad and Apple Pencil combo has become more convenient for rough work. My sketchbooks haven’t disappeared from my workflow though and I’m still using them for playing with traditional media and enjoying time away from my screens.
