Character Design: Dr Femme

Last month, medical suppliers MDTi commissioned an illustrated character for a range of medical products targeted at women.
Working closely within the client’s guidelines — the character “Dr Femme” was created to be the personality that represented the range. The intimate nature of the products made them difficult to promote in a public place, so the client was looking to create a recognisable and friendly personality that can represent the brand but without being too specific about the products and their applications.

Once the character’s aesthetics were agreed, we went on to develop a range of different poses for them to use throughout their printed and online media.
The project was commissioned with a tight deadline, but the illustrations were completed in time for the conference on the 1st Sept, with the character being well received. The cheif exective of MDTi, M. Levermore said, “It has been a pleasure working with Stina and it has been an invaluable opportunity to have worked with someone who can translate quickly our requirements.”
